In September of 2020, I decided to start my ER travel nurse journey. I was originally planning to start in April of the year but due to the Covid pandemic, I wanted to stay and help my hospital in Indianapolis for as long as possible. In September, I felt like our hospital was in a good place and I knew many other cities still needed help. 

 

What is travel nursing? Well it means that I start a new ER nursing contract every 3 months in a different city around the United States! My choice to travel nurse was to see as much of the United States as I could while also helping others, so that is what I am set out to do.

ln college I took my first major travel adventure with friends to Arizona, and it changed my life. It opened my eyes to how big the world actually is, and I quickly decided that I wanted to travel as much as I could. There is just something about exploring somewhere new that really excites me.

Since I have been travel nursing, friends and family have reached out to me about their vacations and asked me for recommendations for cities I had been in. I know that finding the best things to do while traveling can be a daunting task, so I decided to start writing down what I loved in each city and National Park with the goal of helping people on their own vacations.
